Hawaiian Monk Seals

A Hawaiian monk seal and her pup return to the beach after taking a swim at Maha’ulepu on the south shore of Kaua’i. Hawaiian monk seals (Monachus schauinslandi) are endemic to Hawai’i and are endangered—there are less than 1500 of these animals left.
