Po’omau Canyon
Red blossoms of the endemic ‘ohi’a lehua (metrosideros
polymorpha) overlook a series of plunge pools in Kawaikoi Stream
within Po’omau Canyon on Kaua’i. The scars of red
dirt are caused by feral goats who denude steep mountain slopes
and cause premature erosion.
