Sunset at Polopoli Springs

The sun sets through a forest of redwood and cypress trees that were planted to restore the watershed at Polipoli Springs on the slopes of Haleakala on Mau’i. Fast growing trees were introduced to replace the native ecosystems that were decimated by the sandalwood trade and feral cattle.
