Nene at Dawn

At the crack of dawn, a pair of nene geese (Branta sandvicensis) fly from Kalalau beach to forage along the coast. Although nene are making a slow come back in a few protected areas like the Na Pali Coast of Kaua’i, they are still very much an endangered species.
