Kalalau Morning

The morning sun illuminates the mountains overlooking the mouth of Kalalau Stream on Kaua’i. A lush growth of naupaka kahakai (scaevola sericea), an indigenous shrub, grows profusely on the banks of the stream as the water meanders over boulders into the sea.
