Koa Trees Over ‘Awa’awapuhi Valley

A grove of endemic koa trees (Acacia koa) overlook the steep cliff of ‘Awa’awapuhi Valley on the Na Pali Coast of Kaua’i. The stream meandering between the steep valley walls derives it waters from rainfall over the native forests which seep into the mountains and emerge in the very back of valley as a spring-fed stream.
